An Elf Inside of a Bird Inside of a Dragon

It's like a turducken.

After us finally conquering Heroic Shannox, Rhyolith, Alysrazor, and Majordomo Staghelm, Enaku siphoned enough fire power out of their corpses to become one with a dragon. He's subsequently taken over the raid and makes us run Firelands for his own amusement.

Please help us he has a legendary

Bane of Chaos Raises New and Troubling Questions

We have fought long and hard and seen many horrors beset upon us. Today is not a day of mourning, but perhaps of glory, of victory and the start of a new day for Fordragon's Reprise. We have survived the bitter cold of the Lich King's wrath and come out that much the stronger. One of our own has proven to be so steadfast as to be chosen for a violent honor, the ultimate keeper of a strange and benevolent rebirth of the world's greatest evil.

Deodan has survived the terrors that hide deep within not only the walls of Icecrown Citadel, but perhaps in the depth of our own souls.

Shadowmourne; a newly forged weapon already steeped in this world's history, reborn into an unrivaled destiny. With this weapon you bear a solemn responsibility, and the time to carry out that charge is at hand. Take this weapon of myth and legend and march on the enemy. Avenge the countless heroes lost in his merciless campaign. Bring rest to their tortured souls. Steel yourself, deathknight, and guide Shadowmourne to fulfill the purpose of its creation.

I hope Deo appreciates his swirly little purple soul thingies, he looks pretty fabulous with them. So thank you everyone, thank you Deodan for putting up with us (and the quest) and I give you a round of applause for not becoming the next Lich King. However, I'd really like to bring attention to the real hero here, the one who made this all possible:

Let's give several hands to Stonechewer, the real hero of this tale.

Rise, Thunderfury!

Shyeera and his Thunderfury
As the giant blade of the Wind Lord fell, so the steadfast warrior Shyeera stepped up to claim the legendary sword of the elemental god.
Congratulations to Shyeera on his new weapon, after two years of toiling in the bowels of Molten Core with his friends. Remember to read the instructions for quests Shy, when trying to put together a huge sword like that. (Or you might be 90 arcanite bars short!)

Blessing of the Ancient Kings

Powerful acidic content theoretically found inside the being Yogg-Saron would count for the liquefaction of Saronite. Submersion in this substance might be sufficient to rebind an alloy of titan origin.

And so we travelled deep into Yogg-Saron's lair, the shattered fragments of Val'anyr in hand, with only 3 Wardens to guide us. And Yogg'Saron let out a deafening roar, and Gradar hurled the fragments into the beast's fluttering maws. There was a wailing and a gnashing of teeth, and we only had three lights to guide us from insanity.

Three Lights in the Darkness

In the end, it was over. And it was silent. And in the miasma of the fallen god, there lay the shards, glowing with their own power. Calming. Serene. Gradar knelt and picked them up in his gauntleted hands, the light reflecting cooly against the metal of his armor. We knew what we had to do - bring the reforged shards to the dwarves in the Archivum.

Running to the archivum.
And in the end, Gradar received the highest trophy of the Titans: Val'anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings. He had the power to restore his peers with health and vitality, and restore those who had once felt the touch of death. (AND IT BUBBLES!)

Gradar, with his hammer

Congrats to Gradar on his legendary mace, and congratulations to Fordragon's Reprise on their Three Lights kill! In true GoG tradition, we will be kicking Gradar out and having the mace take his raid slot now that we have a decent healer in his place.
