Aislinana is ever the unstoppable gnome. Born and raised in the city-state of Gnomeregan, she was the oldest daughter of the Whiztinks, a fairly prominent engineering family best known for their efficient mount innovations. She was a very smart child, but due to her parent's chiding and pressure to succeed as an engineer and tinkerer, Ais largely grew rebellious, seeking refuge with her dear Grandmaw, who secretly taught her the basics of herbalism and the arcane. When her grandmother started dying early due to the effects of the oncoming Gnomish radiation, she urged Ais to leave the city and take her sister with her, Audacia. Ais refused and even with guilt in her heart, fled and left her family behind for good, knowing that they would never have a good relationship.

She decided to seek her fortune in the world of magic, but spent 4 years in the wildness, gathering plants and learning what she could from various hedge-mages, making her a fairly useless gnome other than her insatiable desire to explore and pathfind. It was these skills that eventually brought her back to Ironforge and setting up camp with the dwarves and Explorer's League. She was quickly snapped up by a small band of excavators that kept her as a mascot due to her ability to cross difficult terrain with ease. They gave her a taste for drinking, singing and being a bawdy little gnome, something that she regrets slightly now that she is older. She became friends with a dwarf named Utano, and they would travel and fight together, becoming fast friends. The band they both were in decided to brave the frozen wastes of the North, despite their superior's warnings, and their partyish mood was destroyed upon seeing Northrend filled with nothing but Scourge and plaguebearers.

Ais and her group trod back to Ironforge with heavy hearts and Ais largely gave up on the League, feeling saddened. She had spent so long out on the fringes that she had, like her own people, neglected a lot of larger concerns in the world. She came to Stormwind to renew her vigor in magecraft and the alchemical arts and found out about the Northrend Commonwealth. Wanting to help restore the land she saw in shambles, as well as carve out a new family and home, she joined. She vowed that she would become the best mage and alchemist that she could for the group, even if her introverted tendencies prevented her from making any friends at the start. She saw less and less of Utano, who had joined with her, until one day she received a note from him stating that he was no longer keeping up his occupation of a hunter and going into the family business of trading. Upon hearing this news, Ais was distraught, being that Utano was one of her only friends, but shortly there after, a strange druid appeared. His name was Ursidae and he was set in charge by Utano to look after the gnome.

And so they, charge and bodyguard, set off to seek their fortune with the Commonwealth and aid them in their fight against the Scourge. Aislinana's efforts for bravery and diplomacy were rewarded when the Prime Minister Fellina La'mere and her cabinet appointed Aislinana as a Magistrate in the guild. Ais felt accepted and loved and turned over a new leaf, becoming more and more active and political within the group. She helped new members into the ranks, eased tensions and tried her hardest to boost morale in the Commonwealth. Her passion still lay in exploring, and even with her growing political responsibilities and magical schooling, she still found time to disappear into the world and come back with strange stories.

After a spell, Ursidae and Aislinana grew largely strained and distant, Ais no longer feeling like she needed protection, and the pair parted ways. Before this though, Aislinana became friends with the Commonwealth's Archdruid Enabrin Swiftfeather. They would have talks about life and the Commonwealth, and she grew to have feelings towards him. After the Commonwealth's tactical strike on Thrall, leader of the Horde armies, she confessed her feelings to the serious druid, despite her misgivings on them being an odd pair. He relented after some wooing, despite his own mourning for his dead wife, and they became quickly attached with eachother.

The Commonwealth's push with the rest of the Alliance into Outlands has made Aislinana ever more dedicated to achieving higher and higher goals, and for their eventual re-taking of Northrend Commonwealth. She's also developed a love for dragons and wishes to raise them someday.
